Arrangement of heat exchanger on a front support structure of a motor vehicle

The heat exchanger arrangement is on the front support structure of a motor vehicle with a throughflow aperture (44) for a cooling air current mostly covered by a heat exchanger module (100) of the arrangement (102). The aperture extends in a vehicle cross plane and is limited on two opposite sides of wall areas (105-108) of the support structure. The wall areas belong to the crumple zone of the front structure. The heat exchanger module is so fitted on the front support structure that frontal collisions affecting the area of the through passage aperture have their energy absorbed in conjunction with the wall areas of the support structure. The heat exchanger module is arranged in front of the through passage aperture and with at least two opposing end areas (110,111) extends over the through passage aperture.
