Method and device for clamping an injection valve in an engine block of an internal combustion engine
DRIVE
November 21, 2001
The clamping method uses a clamping element (4) provided with an elongate opening (5) through which an annular ring (6) projecting from the shaft (3) of the fuel injection valve (1) is fitted, with at least 2 diametrically opposing flanges (6.1) of the annular ring aligned with the straight sections of the opening. The clamping element is rotated through 90 degrees and displaced in the direction of the valve end, so that bearing surfaces (6.2) of the ring cooperate with the straight sides of the opening and screwed into the engine block (12). An Independent claim for a clamping system for an IC engine fuel injection valve is also included.
