Fuel injector with simple mounting structure through an integral valve cover

The arrangement has a fixing bolt screwed into the cylinder head and a forked clamping element (2) through which the bolt passes with two fork legs (2a,2b). The shaft (7) of the fuel injector narrows towards the injection nozzle (6) and the narrowed shaft has opposing fittings (5a,5b) at one point with a width not in excess of the original diameter of the fuel injector.
