Analog clock with date display

The clock has at least one hand rotatable about a rotation point and a display device over which the hand passes to represent additional information. The clock is controled so tat the additional information is always displayed in an area not covered by the hand(s). The clock can have hands for hours and minutes and displays the additional information in exposed quadrants of the clock face.
