The television cabinet with a lowerable television apparatus has a top cabinet arranged in the vehicle, with at least one base wall (4,16) and a front access flap (6) pivoting around a horizontal axis. In the top cabinet a pivot console (20) is pivotably located, which supports the television set (30). The pivot console (20) is completely pivotably located around a horizontal axis (23) together with a part (16) of the base wall (4,16). At the pivoting free end of the pivot console a support frame (24) is arranged, which is pivotably located there around a horizontal pivot axis (36) and accommodates the television set.
