Gas generator, in particular for an airbag

The gas generator for an airbag has a combustion chamber (1) with outlets (5) connected to an annular gas flow modifying chamber (8). This has outlets (11) connected to the airbag. Deflectors (7) are mounted above the outlets (5) from the combustion chamber to generate a twisting gas current.
