Sun visor for vehicles

A sun visor is described comprising a sun visor body (1) which is arranged to be foldable about the long axis arm (47) of an L-shaped sun visor shaft (5), displaceable parallel to this long axis arm (47), and pivotable about an approximately vertically oriented short axis arm (46). The short axis arm (46) is seated in a bearing block (4) and the free end region of the long axis arm (47) is detachably mounted in a counter-bearing housing (7), and the arrangement of the sun visor body (1) is such that it is mounted on the long axis arm (47) in a displaceable manner extending beyond both the bearing block (4) and the counter-bearing housing (7).
