The method involves regulating an actual control value to a demand value by cyclically controling the control parameter to the demand value so that the demand value is at least accurately achieved, interrupting the control process, checking whether the difference between the control and demand parameters exceeds a threshold and terminating the interruption of the control process if the threshold is reached or exceeded.
