The tank (1) can be transported on a transporter (15) with its longitudinal axis (4) horizontally and can be stood up on support legs (8) with its longitudinal axis vertically. A support foot (9) is provided on each support leg and can be extended transversely to the longitudinal axis over the outer contour of the peripheral wall (5) of the tank. Preferably, there are four support legs, each with a support foot, which are arranged in pairs in two planes and have support feet that pull out along the plane. Independent claims are included for a transporter and a method to position a tank on a transporter.
