Ignition device for a safety system

The ignition device (1) for a safety system, particularly for an air bag or belt tightener in a road vehicle, hsa an ignition component (2) ignitable via connecting conduits (4,5). Thee component and conduits are mounted in a prefitted housing (3) installable in a corresponding position in the safety system. The ignition component has contact tabs (7,8), at least one of which is connected by electrically conducting devices, particularly stamped parts, with one end of a connecting conduit.
