Impact protection device for a vehicle

The inflatable cushion (1), fastened to the front of a vehicle (5) such as a tram and inflated by automatic or driver control, has a thrust surface (7) in contact with the vehicle and an impact surface (8) to receive a direct impact. It has a series of internal tie lines (2) made from non-stretch cords or straps between points (7a, 8a) on the inner surfaces of the thrust and impact surfaces.
