Airbag protection system

The invention relates to a protection system (15) comprising an inflatable cushion (16) connected to inflation means capable of and intended to be activated to inflate said inflatable cushion during and/or in anticipation of an impact. The inflatable cushion (16) has a substantially annular general shape in an inflated state. Such a protection system (15) is advantageously intended for the protection of passengers in a helicopter.
