Using the accelerator pedal input value (PWG') for drive in traction, two intermediate values are determined. The first (ZM1) is determined from a first function (ZF1), the second (SM) from a second function (SF). The values are added (ADD) to form a desired value (MD) of drive torque. An Independent claim is included for equipment performing the corresponding function.
