The section of flat material (14) is permanently secured to the frame (10). At least part of the frame (28) is made of plastic and is fixed to a further component (16). During attachment, the connecting region of the plastic is heated, softened and set. A sonotrode (30) is employed. An Independent claim is included for the corresponding method of manufacture.
