The invention relates to a method for calibrating a rollover sensor (10) for a vehicle, with which the inclination of a vehicle is continuously determined in at least one axis. In order to compensate for drift deviations, it is proposed to continuously average the inclination in the at least one axis over a specified distance and to assume the formed mean value as the zero position.
