Method and device of changing menus in vehicles

The selection menus are built up in a hierarchy from menu, part menus, function and/or function value and a direct change from one menu to another is possible whereby the last used menu point of the selection menu is stored and when changing to the relevant selection menu is changed each time to the menu point which during the previous use of this selection menu was selected as the last one used. When switching off the vehicle the last used points of the selection menus are stored and when starting up the vehicle are directly selected when using the menu for the first time.
