Airbag module with snap-fit and hub-type receptacle

The system comprises an airbag module (3) which has a front side (7), a side surface (9) and a rear side (11) as well as a pot-shaped cover (13) for the module having a first peripheral wall (15). A holder housing (17) is provided having a second peripheral wall (21), whereby the cover and the housing define a space in which the airbag can be stored. The first and second peripheral walls are connected together by catches (23,25). A holder body (5) is provided for the airbag module and is located so near to the side surface of the airbag module that it supports both peripheral walls while the airbag opens.
