Adjustable vehicle roof with a foldable soft top

The roof (1) has a folding cover with cover linkage (2), movable between closed and stowed positions. There is a fabric holding hoop (3) connected to the linkage which lies on a bodywork component in the closed position, applying tension to the cover. A tensioning hoop (4), supported by the linkage, holds the tensioning hoop in the closed position by means of a tensioning cable.
