Spring suspension arrangement for vehicle wheels

The suspension has a spring strut and a pivot lever engaging on a wheel axle, and a shock absorber connected to the lever. The other side of the pivot lever (5) is extended below the axle (2), and an additional barrel-shaped spring element (7) engages on this extension. The spring element has hydraulic, pneumatic, or hydro-pneumatic action, and spring action in a hydraulic or pneumatic system is esp. developed at a distance to the lever extension. The suspension incorporates a load sensor, esp. for automatic adaptation of spring resistance of the spring element.
