Voltage regulator for the alternator of a vehicle
DRIVE
May 23, 2001
A multi-function regulator (MFR) regulates generator voltage. A central on-board computer (ZBR) has terminal voltage in an accumulator, output voltage from a generator and speed of an internal combustion engine as input signals. The central on-board computer supplies a voltage setting (Bsen) for the multi-function regulator to regulate the output voltage (B+) from the generator. Values for the terminals (Kl.W,Kl.L) are entered in the central on-board computer.
