Exterior rear view mirror with position sensor
DRIVE
May 9, 2001
The mirror (1) has an adjustably mounted glass unit and an electrical drive for remote control adjustment of the glass unit, whereby the position of the glass unit, especially the angular setting, can be determined with at least one magnetic sensor (15,16) that interacts with a magnetic element (11,12) in the mirror to produce an output signal varying with magnetic element position from which an evaluation unit derives the glass unit's position.
