The control module (MOD) is in series with the motor (M) and regulates power to the motor, using a positive temperature coefficient resistance, whose resistance increases as the motor attempts to draw heavy current when the vane (4) stops at the end of its travel. This reduces the voltage available at the motor terminals, and power dissipation is limited to a safe value.
