The windscreen wiper, for a vehicle window, has the support rail (15) integrated into the elastic wiper body (17). The support rail (15) is wholly embedded within the wiper body (17). The wiper body (17) is of rubber. The support rail (15), with a rectangular cross section, is of metal cut from strip materials or stamped or it is extruded. An Independent claim is included for the production of a windscreen wiper, where the wiper body is heated for softening for the integration of the support rail into it.
