Rome museums free for Six Nations ticket holders

Italy's rugby federation partners with Rome. Rugby fans with tickets for the 2026 Six Nations tournament in Rome will have free admission to city-run museums in the capital on the weekends that Italy hosts two home games. To gain access to the municipal museums, visitors must present their ticket for the Six Nations match being played that weekend at the Stadio Olimpico. The initiative, whose title IV Tempo Rugby e Cultura is a play on the “third half” so beloved of rugby fans, follows an agreement between Italy's rugby federation, the city of Rome and Italian culture ministry. The first edition takes place on the weekend of the Italy vs Scotland match (7 February), followed by the weekend when the Azzurri take on England (7 March). The dates on which the offer is active are Friday 6 February, Saturday 7 February, Sunday 8 February, and Friday 6 March, Saturday 7 March, Sunday 8 March. The 2026 edition of the 15-match tournament will see Italy play three away games: against the Irish in Dublin 14 February, against reigning champions France in Paris on 22 February, and against Wales in Cardiff on 14 March. All sides will try to avoid being handed the dreaded "wooden spoon" - for finishing in last place - which went to Wales in 2025 for the second year in a row.
