Our take

A pleasant lakeside campsite and a good base for exploring the Chiemsee area.

The pitches were a good size and the cycle path outside the site made it easy to get out and explore. We completed the circular ride around the lake, which was enjoyable, although we found better cycling elsewhere during the trip.

The nearby Bavarian town was well worth visiting, with plenty of cafés, restaurants and traditional character.

Overall, this was a comfortable stop in a beautiful lakeside setting. We enjoyed exploring the area and would happily stay here again if passing through Bavaria.
