Antoon is the only one up at Number 1
Antoon is the only one up at Number 1Antoon is the only one to stay ahead of the FIFA-craze and rises himself to the top with the summer-ready “De Enige”. It now joins “Hyperventilatie”, “Vluchtstrook”, “Hallo” and “Beetje van Mij” as his fifth Number 1-hit to date. Within only a few years, Antoon has become one of the best-scoring Dutch artists of all time. His fast-paced beats combined with simple and relatable lyrics have made many of Antoon’s songs certified classics. Antoon is also one of the most influential producers in Holland right now, dictating the popular sound for a few years now. He has produced many of Froukje & S10’s big collaborative hits. Antoon was also the genius behind Roxy Dekker’s breakout Top 5-hit “Satisfyer”. With “De Enige”, Antoon becomes one of the male artists with the most Number 1s of all time. He is also tied with Maan, Marco Borsato and Ch!pz as the Dutch artists with the second most Number 1s of all time. The Dutch artist with the most Number 1s is Ronnie Flex right now, who has gotten a hold of seven big ones.Dutch rapper Idaly hopes to have a summer hit on his hands with the catchy “Populair”. On the newest single, Idaly proclaims a girl he likes is a certified super star and is probably popular because of all the attention she’s receiving, sampling and literally covering Jamelia’s 2003-classic “Superstar”. Jamelia’s star shined all the way to #2 and became her best-scoring international hit of all time. It also holds up well today and is considered a classic by later generations. Idaly enlists the help of Dutch colleagues Ronnie Flex and Frenna. All three men have previously scored Top 40-hits whilst heavily sampling or covering other artists’ popular songs: Frenna covered Abel’s 2000-classic “Onderweg” on the R&B-remixed “Verleden Tijd”, Ronnie Flex recently sampled Cascada’s “Everytime We Touch” on the hit “Adrenaline”, and Idaly smartly sampled “Shook Ones Part II” by Mobb Deep on the tell-all “Hyena”. Together, Idaly, Ronnie Flex and Frenna debut at #27 with their ode to Jamelia on “Populair”. It ranks as the highest new entry of this slow week.A few places above, Zara Larsson profits off her headlining slot at Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands as “Midnight Sun” re-enters at #23. Last week, many songs debuted in the Top 40 thanks to Best Kept Secret Festival, and this week, some singles resurge thanks to Pinkpop in the south of the Netherlands. Mainly, Roxy Dekker and Kevin’s “Jij Hebt Mij” rebounds into the Top 5 thanks to the former’s set at the mainstage. Meanwhile, Bruno Mars rounds out the new entries with “On My Soul” at #38. It is the new radio single off his latest album The Romantic. The up-beat jazz song is again distinctly Mars but with even more trumpets now. He previously reached #2 with “I Just Might”.2026 is already halfway done, so it’s time to rank the biggest hit singles of this year so far. 2026 hasn’t really set the charts alight just yet, with actually many of its hits being songs that had already enjoyed major success before or so called “sleeper hits” that need extra-long to pop off. Examples include Zara Larsson’s “Lush Life”, which re-peaked in the Top 10 even though it already was a Number 1-hit back in 2015, or “White Keys” by Dominic Fike, which only recently reached its #2-peak despite being first released in November last year. But above all, it’s PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson their 2026 collab “Stateside” that ranks as the biggest song of the year so far. With a stellar music video and smart hook, “Stateside” spent five weeks at Number 1 and is currently certified triple-platinum. It already ranks as the biggest hit of PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson their respective discographies. In second place, it is Zara Larsson again with her never-ending “Midnight Sun”. With that song re-entering this week, Zara is not letting up just yet. The third biggest hit single of 2026 is “Babydoll” by Dominic Fike – a late-blooming sleeper hit by all means, as it was originally released in 2018. Ella Langley ranks fourth with her country hit “Choosin’ Texas” and Sombr’s “Homewrecker” is fifth, and currently the biggest non-Number 1 of 2026 so far.The 10 biggest hits of 2026 so far“Stateside” – PinkPantheress & Zara Larsson [#1]“Midnight Sun” – Zara Larsson [#1]“Babydoll” – Dominic Fike [#1]“Choosin’ Texas” – Ella Langley [#1]“Homewrecker” – Sombr [#2]“I Just Might” – Bruno Mars [#2]“White Keys” – Dominic Fike [#2]“drop dead” – Olivia Rodrigo [#1]“Fever Dream” – Alex Warren [#1]“Raindance” – Dave & Tems [#4]
