Dua Lipa writes "New Rules" atop this week's Crown 100; Justin Bieber and BloodPop® debut in the top five
"One." That's the key word for Dua Lipa's "New Rules," as the song becomes her first #1 hit on the Crown 100, following top-tens in "Hotter Than Hell" and Martin Garrix collaboration "Scared To Be Lonely." "New Rules" boots Kesha's "Praying" back to the runner-up position after a week back at the top, followed by another alumnus of the chart's top spot, "Feels" by Calvin Harris featuring Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry, and Big Sean. At #4 is a promising new debut by Justin Bieber and BloodPop®, "Friends," which rockets in with 152,000 points in its first week, giving it a good start but a fair amount of legwork to make before it can reach the top three. DJ Khaled's "Wild Thoughts," featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller, holds at #5.
P!nk, who comes off of being awarded the Video Vanguard Award at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, flips up two spots to #6 with "What About Us," the lead single from Beautiful Trauma. She moves Lorde down a spot to #7 with "Perfect Places," followed by Demi Lovato, whose "Sorry Not Sorry" slips 4-8. Charlie Puth's "Attention" returns to the top ten at a new peak of #9, with Louis Tomlinson's "Back To You," featuring Bebe Rexha and Digital Farm Animals, bringing up the rear at #10.
Two tracks draw ever closer to reaching the top ten: Portugal. The Man's breakout crossover hit "Feel It Still" continues its rise, up four spots this week to #12, while Bruno Mars notches a five-position gain with "Versace On The Floor" at #13. Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow" is the sole new track (excluding "Friends") to enter the top twenty at #17, up by nine.
One more track debuts in the top half of the chart: Miley Cyrus's title track from upcoming album Younger Now starts off at #22, just below its previous single "Malibu," which drops eight spots to #21. The next highest debut is one to keep an eye on, however: Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do," from upcoming album Reputation, enters the Crown 100 at #56 this week off the back of just two days of release, and is likely to fly into the chart's upper reaches next week.
Playboi Carti's "Magnolia" just makes it into the top fifty this week as the chart's biggest mover, moving up 31 spots to #50.
Also debuting this week are songs by Avicii featuring Rita Ora, Glass Animals, Kesha, 21 Savage, CNCO with Little Mix, Rachel Platten, and Miranda Lambert.
