Unable to Create Private MCP Connector (“Field required: access_list”)

We are trying to create a private custom MCP connector in our ChatGPT Enterprise workspace for an internal demo.

The MCP server itself appears reachable and valid, but connector creation fails with the following error:

“Field required: access_list” POST /v2/connectors/mcp

What is confusing is that there is currently no field in the Enterprise UI to define:

• access list

• visibility scope

• allowed users/groups

• sharing permissions

Questions:

1. Has anyone encountered this issue before?

2. Is there an Enterprise policy or feature flag that must be enabled for private MCP connectors?

3. Should the access_list field be configured somewhere outside the connector creation UI?

4. Is this a known limitation/bug in the current Enterprise rollout?

We are specifically trying to create a private/internal connector, not a public app.
