Idea: AI-assisted routing for Developer Community feature requests

One thing I noticed while posting ideas is that many useful suggestions can get lost because they are in the wrong category, duplicated across topics, or not written in a way that maps clearly to a product team. Maybe the Developer Community could use an AI-assisted “idea router.” When someone posts a feature request or bug report, the system could analyze it and suggest: * best product/team area: Codex, API, ChatGPT, Apps SDK, Billing, Docs, Community, etc. * type: bug, feature request, UX issue, enterprise request, safety concern, docs gap * duplicate or related topics * missing information needed for triage * short internal-style summary * rough impact area: developer productivity, enterprise adoption, reliability, security, cost transparency, etc. The AI would not make final decisions or replace moderators. It would act like a triage assistant that helps route high-signal ideas to the right place faster. This could help both sides: For users: * better chance their idea reaches the correct area * fewer duplicate posts * clearer feedback on what information is missing For OpenAI/community maintainers: * cleaner signal * easier grouping of related requests * better visibility into repeated pain points * faster handoff to the relevant team The goal would not be “AI judges the idea.” The goal would be “AI helps structure and route the idea so humans can review it better.”
