How to Change Model Within a Project (folder)

Just a lil bump. April 2026, still having the same problem. ChatGPT Mac app very randomly allowed me to use the model picker in Projects this morning, and I was overjoyed and figured there’d been an update. Nope. A couple hours later, I tried again, and we’re back to the same bug. When I change the model in Projects, it starts a whole new empty chat. I’m sad. I usually work in the app but still have to keep it open in the web browser simultaneously, just to change models. I’m a Plus user on ChatGPT v. 1.2026.049 with MacOS 26.3.1.
