The Rusty Wheel to host hot dog eating contest

The Rusty Wheel in South Beloit is hosting its 1st annual hot dog eating contest 30 minutes after the joint South Beloit/Beloit Memorial Day parade. A 10 dollar donation to the SOBO Athletic Club allows the participant to see if "they have that dog in them." Kristin Karalis at the Rusty Wheel confirmed that contestants will have 10 minutes to eat the most 1/4 pound hot dogs (with bun) among all the participants. From the Bill Murray classic "Meatballs."
