OGRA raises kerosene price by Rs8.70 per litre
ISLAMABAD: The price of kerosene oil has been increased by Rs8.70 per litre, according to a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
Under the revised rates, the price of kerosene has been set at Rs280.70 per litre, up from the previous rate of Rs272 per litre.
The increase takes effect immediately and is part of the latest adjustment in petroleum product prices announced by the regulator.
Petrol price cut by Rs4 per litre
Earlier tonight, the federal government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs4 per litre, according to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division.
Under the revised pricing, petrol has been reduced from Rs381.78 to Rs377.78 per litre, effective from midnight across the country. However, the price of high-speed diesel has been kept unchanged at Rs380.78 per litre.
The new rates will remain in place until the next fortnightly review. Officials said fuel prices have seen frequent fluctuations in recent weeks due to volatility in global oil markets, driven by geopolitical tensions and uncertainty over key shipping routes.
The reduction is expected to provide partial relief to consumers facing rising transport and living costs.
