MotoGP Grand Prix Commission Bans Wildcards, Cotinues Tire Pressure Monitoring For 2027 The Grand Prix Commission - MotoGP's rule making body consisting of representatives from MSEG (ex-Dorna), the FIM, the MSMA, and IRTA - have agreed to abolish wildcard entries from 2027. And to close a potential rules loophole, they have also banned any wildcard entries in 2026 using 850ss 2027 machines. The banning of wildcards is presumably a harbinger of the arrival of permanent replacement riders.
