- AEZ and AES railcars are totally the same in terms of power, capacity and running costs except AES is slower. Suppose no one will ever use AES.
It's also quite likely from new USA locs, e.g. the EMD SD40 and GP40 are quite similar, but the GP40 comes 5 years later and apart from being a bit lighter does not change much, so it may not be worth having two of them? Randomly cross-quoting Bananaft from another thread, but we may not want to have an overwhelming number of engines esp. if they are similar, as it can be a problem for newcomers:
Hello, very interesting mod. My question, what train set I should play it with? Vanilla don't have trains in 1860, and some trains sets I looked into have too much of them, so I get overwhelmed.
- Since it is common in 2CC to name locomotives by railroad name than class designation I suggest renaming Sorefame DE8--Zimbabwe Railways DE8, Zaire Electric Type 2450--BCK Type 2450 or KDL Type 2450
If you do rename the Zaire Electric Type 2450 to BCK Type 2450, then for consistency you could also rename Katanga Mikado 2-8-2 into BCK Class 200 'Katanga Mikado'!
