Other way around I think! the age period is the number of days before the cargo ages one tick, so by making it to lower you make the cargo age faster. A day is 74 so the default is 2.5 days -- maybe set it to 296 so that for a sleeper it's 4 days?

EDIT: And also for the role badges, maybe you could use the "standard" ones listed here, for better compatibility with other NewGRF sets?
