Well, what you did wrong is turning on the setting to show all signal types instead of just the path signals. Those are hidden by default for a reason, because in normal cases all you need are the path signals, and they are much easier to use and more efficent. Don't use any of the presignals (entry/exit/combo) unless you really know what you're doing.
