OpenTTD Problems • Issue with signals/stations

Firstly, if this is the wrong subforum, please move it properly, and apologies.

So, I've got an issue with getting the right signals for a station (terminus), leading to all platforms being taken by trains, and the trains cannot leave, because other inbound trains block the exits. I've attached a screenshot, hopefully that speaks for itself.

Please, explain it to me like I'm fairly inexperienced, and tell me what I've done wrong (and more importantly, what I need to do to amend it and make it right - meaning what type of signals I should place where, and please, be specific with regards to the name of the signals )
