To me, that reads as more threatening than reassuring... ...I likewise distance myself as far as possible from the existing European political environment.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that is really meant to showcase Pale Moon being outside the influence of US Big Tech. Geographically, culturally, perhaps also legally etc. Not imply allegiance to some Bruxelles-based EuroBrowser movement.

Although it is already fairly clear, (Big Tech companies are mentioned just below), given the dismal state of the EU I agree it's a good idea to make it even clearer.
