Browser Support • menu bar interferes with nav bar

This is a clean new profile. When menu bar is off, bookmarks and history icons are visible. When menu bar is on, bookmarks and history icons are gone. in customize, if I add printer icon it stays and functions, but bookmarks and history icons are gone if menu bar is on. in customize, there are bookmarks and history icons even though there are also bookmarks and history icons in the nav toolbar. The bookmarks and history icons appear on nav bar when customize is open, even though menu bar is on. On close customize, bookmarks and history icons go away. My default profile nav bar has acted normally without modifications for years until very recently. Bookmarks and history work from menu bar.
