UK plans to pass law banning anyone born after 2008 to buy cigarettes

The asbestos ban is important because it protects other people , something the government should do. The ban on buying cigarettes prevents individuals from buying cigarettes. This doesn’t protect anyone other than the person buying the cigarettes which is just interfering in their life, something the government shouldn’t do. The government are supposed to serve us, not force lifestyle choices on us.
