A man was charged in a fatal shooting that took place Tuesday in Washington Heights, according to Chicago police.
Bobby Martin, 26, faces a charge of first-degree murder, police said.
Antoine Alexander, 32, was in a parking lot at 9411 S. Ashland Ave., about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday when Martin, who police said Alexander knew, walked up to him and shot him in his abdomen, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Alexander, of the Auburn Gresham neighborhood, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Martin is due in court Friday.
