Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...Thunderstorm coverage and intensity is expected to increase this afternoon into this evening from southern Missouri into central Arkansas. A very warm, moist, and unstable airmass is in place, supporting the potential for robust updrafts capable of damaging gusts and isolated hail. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70 statute miles north and south of a line from 10 miles west of Fayetteville AR to 95 miles southeast of Batesville AR.
