Afterschool tuition could jump by a flat rate of 50% if approved this week by the Durham Public Schools Board of Education.
During Thursday’s monthly meeting, DPS staff are proposing the increase to tuition, registration, and summer/intersession fees for 2026-27 – the first increase since 2016 – citing rising operating and staffing costs, retention needs, and licensing requirements.
