All Coronation Street spoilers for next week as the Websters face a final showdown
The bad blood in the Webster family reaches a terrifying crescendo next week in Coronation Street when a gun is introduced.
The hatred between Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) and brother-turned-uncle Kevin (Michael Le Vell) reaches new heights when the latter learns that the former intended to sabotage the breaks in his car. Despite Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) and Tyrone Dobbs’ (Alan Halsall) pleas, they both arm themselves; Kevin with a wrench and Carl with a gun. Will one of the Websters pay the ultimate price?
Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) struggles in the aftermath of son Sam Blakeman’s (Jude Riordan) hospitalisation as his mental health episode showed just how unwell he’d truly become. Turning his ire to Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) and Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker), will the family implode?
Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) continues to suspect that boyfriend Gary Windass (Mikey North) is having an affair with Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), who’s boyfriend, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) is preparing to make a huge step in their relationship. Will all four collide as suspicions rise?
Elsewhere, Debbie Webster’s (Sue Devaney) squad: Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove), Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins), Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) and Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) assemble for a special treat for her, but end up coming to Brody Michaelis’ (Ryan Mulvey) aid, while Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) receives some life changing news.

Monday, June 15 – double episode

When Kevin tells Carl he can whistle for a work reference as he hunts for a legitimate job, Carl receives a call from Fiona Morley (Sara Poyzer), offering some dodgy jobs. When Kevin sees the video of Carl attempting to mess with the breaks on his car, he rushes to confront him, but things get worse when Tyrone and Ronnie try to calm things but reveal they knew what Carl had done. As things reach a fever pitch, Kevin arms himself with a wrench, while Carl retrieves a package he collected from Fiona and pulls out a gun.
As Nick waits on pins for information about Sam, he turns his raw emotion on Ben and Eva and lays into them over bringing Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) into Sam’s life. Eva is forced to reassure Ben that, with or without Sam, Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) can handle the pressure of the trial.
Ronnie’s plan comes to fruition as Sally, Glenda and Christina assemble with their suitcases. As the group suffer hangovers the next day, Christina insists that all phones are turned off.

Meanwhile, Maria catches Gary hugging Sarah, with him insisting they delete all messages between them, her suspicions rise and she turns to Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine) and Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston) with her concerns, while Betsy, Brody and Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) head to the precinct with some cans after being refused service at the Rovers where they’re approached by some thugs demanding they hand over their beer, After ordering Dylan and Betsy to flee, Brody takes the heat on himself, drawing the thugs to chase him in the other direction.

Kit lets Bethany in on a secret: he’s planning to propose to Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon), though he’s unsure of what her reaction will be. When Harry Platt (Joshua Leavy) lovingly tells Kit that he likes having him around, an emotional Kit tells he feels exactly the same.
Kevin takes the gun, believing it to be fake, and aims it at Carl, before Ronnie tries to wrestle it from him, but the gun goes off, leaving everybody horrified. Later, Debbie overhears Carl being threatened by Fiona to complete a job or suffer the consequences and demands to know what he’s gotten himself into.
Betsy tells Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) that she’s been offered a place at the London College of Fashion, but is terrified at the prospect of leaving Dylan behind, and that she’s yet to tell her mum, Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers), of the news.

Elsewhere, Nick is broken to realise how unwell Sam is and lays into Ben again, Debbie, Sally, Bernie, Glenda and Christina intercept Brody’s chase and send the thugs packing with their tails firmly tucked between their legs, while Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) worry over the radio silence from their wives, Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) tells Sarah that Maria’s convinced she’s having an affair with Gary, while Maria tells Gary they need to talk and he nervously suggests a curry later.
Friday, June 19

Debbie struggles in the aftermath of the gun ordeal at the garage, suffering nightmares and getting into an argument with Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) over a flower order. As the stress intensifies, Debbie’s dementia symptoms increase and when a balloon pops, she utterly implodes.
Gary’s grand gesture of a big surprise family holiday fills Izzy, Jake Windass (Bobby Bradshaw) and Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) with joy, but Maria is still convinced that he’s having an affair with Sarah and the holiday is merely a cover for his guilt.
Also, Betsy steels herself and tells her mum and Carla Connor-Swain (Alison King) about her college news, Kit picks the perfect engagement ring for Sarah and Sam asks to see Roy Cropper (David Neilson).
