About the World- Government

This is where things start to get tricky. Each race has their own government set up but they also all live mixed together. I have thought long and hard for years on how to take care of this and have come to this. There is a basic government set up: king, president, religion, etc that takes care of making sure the land is secure for the people and taxes are paid and dispersed. They also take care of wars, food, and other things like that. This government also sets laws of the land. Then you have the government of each race. They take care of punishment for the broken laws, land disputes, marriages, divorces, and other interpersonal things. Did I take inspiration from how the United States government runs? Yes, yes I did. Did I completely fuck with the system to fit with my little fantasy world? Why yes I did! I will remind everyone I started this project when I was fifteen and haven’t really changed much of the base foundation since so it’s all based on a skewed understanding of the government and how it runs. I have made it look more functional over the years but it is still rather hand wavy and I do not apologize as most of the time the government and how it works isn’t that important to the story. That said they are however referenced in several and even one does have more to do with the legal processes of the world than the others. Hence why I even bothered to figure out the system in the first place! Now onto the specific races governments because they do have names and I would love some input of better names!
