Panasonic's DP-UB450EB BR player comes with a stupid, short-lead, moulded power adapter. Solutions?

I think the power cable length is maybe 1m at most. When I say the cable is moulded, I mean that the cable + adapter are moulded, it's unpluggable at the BR player's end. This link has a helpful photo of the power delivery stats of the adapter: Pardon our interruption... One thought I had was to get a multi-voltage power adapter, but the one I found only went up to 1.2A. Also, Panasonic doesn't sell alternatives in their 'spares shop'.
