MLB The Show 26 Game Update 13 Arrives Tomorrow - Patch Notes
Operation Sports - Dedicated to Sports Gaming [Unofficial]
July 2, 2026
MLB The Show 26 is scheduled to receive game update #13 tomorrow morning at 7 AM ET, mostly aimed at cleaning up a few roster, gameplay and mode-specific issues. One fix addresses a problem where some players were loading into the game with the default roster instead of the latest live roster.
On the gameplay side, Grant Taylor’s pitching motion has been fixed so the ball releases from the right spot. Josh Hader and Michael King are also getting adjusted pitching animations, though those changes will not show up until the content update goes live around 3 PM ET tomorrow. The update also fixes an issue that stopped some users from picking off runners at first base after choosing a secondary pitch.
Head-to-head play gets a fix for a freeze that could happen while batting and using the quick menu. Diamond Dynasty had a couple of menu and server issues cleaned up as well, including an incorrect open packs counter icon and an unhandled server exception tied to the Stats and Standings dashboard.
Franchise players should now be able to offer the max contract salary to free agents again. The update also unlocks the customization options for Adidas Ultraboost Light cleats, which were incorrectly locked before.
Player likeness updates are included too, but like the pitching animation changes, they will take effect after the content update around 3 PM ET tomorrow. Here’s the list of players getting an update.
