MLB The Show 26 Game Update 9 Targets Franchise Mode and Gameplay Bugs - Patch Notes

Operation Sports - Dedicated to Sports Gaming [Unofficial] May 14, 2026
Source

San Diego Studio has rolled out Game Update 9 for MLB The Show 26. It’s not the biggest, but it does include a handful of notable fixes across Franchise, Diamond Dynasty, and gameplay presentation.

Franchise players in particular should take interest, as the update promises improvement to trade logic and roster management while also outlining a new long-term approach to roster ratings and player progression for offline saves.

There are a handful of Diamond Dynasty updates as well, including improvements to PCI anchoring and the tiles on the “Home” tab. However, nothing in the patch notes addresses anything regarding the recent cheating controversies or the fact that both Josh Hader and Michael King have glitched primary pitches. One can only hope those issues are resolved soon.

Below is the full list of patch notes for Game Update 9 in MLB The Show 26. If you wish to visit the source yourself, check it out here.
