The Human Centipede: First Sequence is a 2010 Dutch trilingual* exploitation horror film directed by Tom Six and produced by him and Ilona Six. The movie uses hyper-realistic fake gore on the surgery scenes where a “human centipede” is being created. The main typeface used in the poster is Trajan , designed in 1989 by Carol Twombly for Adobe. Its monumental letterforms were partly sliced for the title. Since Trajan is an all-caps typeface, Times New Roman was added to set the actors’ first names in mixed case. The credit block uses Bee.

*) Original languages are English, German and Japanese.
