The movie uses hyper-realistic fake gore on the surgery scenes where a “human centipede” is being created. The main typeface used in the poster is **Trajan** , designed in 1989 by Carol Twombly for Adobe. Its monumental letterforms were partly sliced for the title. Since Trajan is an all-caps typeface, **Times New Roman** was added to set the actors’ first names in mixed case.
